During the pandemic Rethink Food launched Rethink Certified, a partnership program that provides grants and resources to local restaurants, so they can prepare community meals as a part of their daily operation.

The Friendly Fridge BX is a community refrigerator initiative grounded in the principals of mutual aid. The first in the Bronx, this community fridge is located on the sidewalk on Broadway at 242nd Street underneath the last stop of the #1 train.

Over the last decade, U.S. Hunger has activated more than 800,000 volunteers to distribute over 150 million meals across the globe. We address hunger by engaging volunteers, educating on the root causes of food insecurity, and creating access to nutritious meals for low-income families and individuals.
